East African Rift - KRISP transects, Kenya, Africa The East African Rift is the largest continental rift system on Earth. A series of abstracts are presented on results from the KRISP85, KRISP90 and KRISP94 wide-angle surveys across Kenya in which the structure of the rift is revealed.
East African Rift - EAGLE transects, Ethiopia, Africa The East African Rift is the largest continental rift system on Earth. A series of abstracts are presented from the EAGLE (Ethiopia-Afar Geoscientific Lithospheric Experiment) that was focussed structure of the rift in the Ethiopia-Red Sea-Gulf of Aden region.
Agulhas-Karoo Geoscience Transect , South Africa
The transect extends from the Agulhas Plateau across the Agulhas-Falkland fracture zone, the Outeniqua Basin, the Cape Fold Belt, the Namaqua-Natal Belt and into the Karoo Province of southern Africa. It crosses a corridor of 3.5 billion years earth history from continental accretion to continental break-up.
